If the coach contacted the player directly before they were officially in the portal, seems a bit like a major violation. My understanding for things Miami, LSU, etc were accused of was talking to the agent and not directly to the kid.
This just seems totally effed up by Ole Miss if the kid was still not in the portal and they said screw it, we are contacting him directly.
I know the NCAA has lots much of its hire, but I am pretty sure that is not a gray area in the rules like the other approaches.

Yea my first thought reading the title is Dabo isn’t the dude I’d want to piss off with this. He’d 100% go scorched earth to try and prove a point
