It works out because most fans have very little idea what they’re talking about either so as long as they’re entertained it’s fine.
Virtually none of the national sports celebrities could last 5 minutes talking about scheme or sets in any of the major sports.
You think Paul Finebaum knows anything about what type of cornerback you want to play in a Nick Saban defense or how to attack a 3-3-5 defense? Heck no.
They’re just entertainers who are too ugly for Hollywood who found a niche talking about sports.
