just cashing in checks instead of trying to create a winning team.
I mean, that was obvious with the 8-9k attendance for 3 years.

That's what logic has never made sense to me. All the people that could not see what the team was doing would claim that they were just raking in money because they weren't paying any expensive contracts. They couldn't stop hating to see that there were no fans there to make money off of and there was no money coming in from a tv contract. They just wanted the team to blow money on aging vets and create road blocks for the young prospects.
I like to think most of those irrational fans were the sidewalk fans that have never really followed baseball.

What is worse is all those people on the "Astros Fans" blaming Crane for all the Astros issues i.e moving us to the AL, Comcast deal, no payroll. Those same people who gave up on the Astros vowing never to support them ever again will be the 1st ones back on the bandwagon as if they never left.

Given the chance, I would literally choke EBF and Bricksy that post on that blog.

After all the trials and tribulations we have suffered through as Astros fans, it seems like we are one of the only fanbase on here that has not fallen off the face of the earth. Rangers fans used to post but their teams starts to suck and they are gone. Cubs fans are Cubs fans and they don't post that much anymore. I will say thought the Braves fans are still posting though.

Cubs used to have a huge following on here back in the day. These ten page dat threads were awesome. I remember being excited for 3 pages.

These threads have picked up in poster volumes in the past month.
If you're a newb, introduce yourself, so we can decide whether or not to accept you.
I've posted in a few of these, not often though. If it helps any I've had this sig image since the Pelicans were born, gone to at least one astros game every year since 2001. Going tomorrow actually.

I haven't been posting much lately and I usually don't make it over to the MSB much anyway. But I've dropped in on the DATs from time to time. I was in the 2011 Springer draft thread that was bumped a couple weeks ago, and also participated in the multi page argument with Lester Earl last year when he said the Astros had one of the five worst farm systems in baseball.
I think that should be sufficient evidence.

Sad, but true.

This really does piss me off. I am not the flag waving hippie that hates corporations but Comcast can burn in hell. All the national talkingheads can suck a dick about the payroll now

I consider myself lucky because this is the only time one of my teams has truly been awful. One of my first sports memory was 97 Florida, the early 90s would have broken my soul as an LSU fan so I am glad i missed it.
The rockets have been good enough and I am pretty meh on the NFL in general.

Hey guys I appreciate the die hard mentality but there is room for all fans on this pain train. It's fun to be competitive. Let's storm the beaches as ONE!
