Hader has waded back into the shite waters. He's been bailed out twice by Jake plays in center field, the Angels walked off on him and now he's laboring again.

8-6 in June with a bunch of missed opportunities.

Series with Chicago, Baltimore, Colorado, and the Mets and a couple off days sprinkled in. They aren’t going to, but really need to find a way to win 9 of the last 11 this month!

I’ll take the win and the series win. Thinking it’s a springboard to something more substantial, though, would be foolish.

They are a .500 or below team and have been since last year’s all star break. If they sneak in the postseason, can they make noise? Yeah.

But, they are a long way away from getting there and are going to actually have to start winning in chunks at some point to dig out of the hole they are in.

Hell, I don’t know. Maybe they are just a whisker away from wrecking shop, but it seems like they are done and need a reset.

Has Bagwell broken the DAT? The team has performed woefully, but…

A couple of off day notes, both per Rome:

quote:

After the first round of All-Star voting, Yordan Alvarez is the American League’s leading vote getter at DH and Jose Altuve is leading at second base. Kyle Tucker is third among outfielders, behind Juan Soto and Aaron Judge.

quote:

Framber Valdez will start tomorrow for the Astros in Chicago. Hunter Brown will go on Wednesday. The team is TBA for Thursday. GM Dana Brown hinted yesterday that Justin Verlander could pitch then

The champs have found themselves in 3rd place looking up at the Asstros. Sad.

Meanwhile, the A's have DFA'd JD Davis. Methinks he'll be an Astro soon.
