Uquidy, Whitley, Paredes, and Zach Daniels (#11 prospect) for Scherzer and Hand.

Why is the sign behind home plate advertising "America's Leanest Bacon" as if that's some sort of good thing? Bacon isn't supposed to be healthy. If I'm getting some bacon it's not going to be lean.

I still think we need a starting outfielder

They seem like they'd be more about the vegan bacon.

Bacon isn't necessarily unhealthy.

ESPN rumor mill says Scherzer has ruled out Houston as a destination but would consider any of the West Coast teams.
MLB trade deadline buzz
July 28 updates
Where Max Scherzer could land at deadline: Sources say Max Scherzer would approve a trade to any of the West Coast teams pursuing a deal for the Nationals ace, but he has ruled out Houston and Philadelphia as destinations. Scherzer can veto a trade using his 10-and-5 rights (10 years of service, five with the same team). -- Jesse Rogers

Makes sense. He wants Cali and has the leverage to get it.

Jason fricking Castro.
And I don’t say that the same way as I say,
Charlie fricking Morton.

Don’t want someone who doesn’t want to be here.

Well, frick it, time to go all in for Bryant and Kimbrel.

I remember a similar report a few years ago with a pitcher from Detroit named Justin.

Yeah, but Dallas Keuchel isn't calling up Scherzer to convince him to go to the Astros.
We probably need Greinke to make that call. Scherzer seems like sort of guy who knows how to hide a body.

Not saying this cause of the report of Max not wanting to come here, but I’d be pretty bummed sending a package around Urquidy. I know the end goal is to win titles and it’s not often teams have a serious chance to do that so I would totally understand us doing it in that sense
But our window of having a competitive team stays open as long as we continue to have cheap productive quality players and I realllllly don’t wanna go through 2010-2013 again. Although looking back it was worth it for having a great team for what should be almostt a decade
So basically idk what to think since I basically just made an argument both ways
All I know is this: having a competitive Astros team to watch on a yearly basis makes life way more enjoyable

No need to hide what’s been eaten.

Altuve needs to stop with that shite. That was clearly Tucker’s play, and Altuve knows it.
