Listened to Astros discussion around 3:20 today on MLBN Radio
McTaggert came on. No surprises. The DAT could have had the same discussion with them
Says offensive production either comes from a new SS or CF with the loss of Correa

To be fair, if Buxton was ever gonna stay healthy, it’d probably be the year before he hits FA.

I don’t think there’s another CF out there that fits the bill of replacing Correa’s production, so now I would assume we entertain someone at SS
One of the MLBN Radio guys the other day thought we might not let Correa go. McTaggart didn’t even entertain that possibility
Letting both Graveman and Marte go at fair market value does give me a very slight pause to consider it
But Correa’s expected value would need to suffer a severe market correction for that to happen, IMO

The fricking Mets ruined my off season. Marte was the best option to solidify the offense post-Correa. Would have given us a relatively lower cost upgrade in center while opening up SS for Peña at some point this year. The CF market is otherwise shite. It was Marte or bust for me.

I have a proposed trade to solve our problems:
Astros Get: Springer, Gurriel, Biggio
Blue Jays get: Bregman, McCormick, Whitley, uncle Mike and two lower-tier minor leaguers not in top-8 prospects.
Boom. The team gets better, families are reunited, the world is a safer place.
