The Pirates haven't traded him already? What are they waiting for?

I bet a Whitley/Siri combo plate could get it done.

They'd want another arm to go with those two. One that is already MLB ready.

Maybe Paredes could do it, but I'd imagine they'd want Cha-cha-cha.

This evenings game is on Sportsnet UT there's a threat of rain so Urquidy whi was supposed to start has already thrown a simulated game today to get his work in. Guessing the offensive starters are also going to do work today and sit out tonight.

I’m not going to lie… I kinda miss Zack Greinke.

quote:

Zack Greinke makes his first start of the spring in less than an hour. A fan approached and asked for an autograph as Zack left the bullpen. Zack said he would, but only if he could take the fan’s picture. Reed from Cali agreed to the terms & Zack pulled out his phone.

Blue Jays traded Randal Grichuk to the Rockies for Raimel Tapia.

Wish the Astros would have looked in to Grichuk, he'd have been a nice fit in center. I like Tapia as well but he's played very little center in his career so it would not have been as good of a fit.

James Click just wants to wait to overpay at the deadline.

We're going to cycle through Chas, my son, Leon and maybe even Julks before we deal for a CF.

Pena would have to really suck or get hurt not to be our SS for the season.

Lee is the catcher of the (near) future.

Meanwhile, Crane and Co. are over $30 million under the tax line.

This is ridiculous to me. Crane talking about big spending for players as long as we are in contention, but this for the most part has not been true.

Extend Yordan and Tucker and I'll begin to change my mind.

I’m not pro-owner, but that Covid season had to put a dent in their profit margin

I can understand a slight pause to see where we stand

I’ll give Crane the benefit of the doubt after securing Verlander. If the team looks legit come the deadline, I’d expect him to approve some necessary moves.

Bielak still not good

5 doubles and 4 runs allowed in 2.2 innings.

How about 2 errors from the OFers that produced 1 run at the plate

Sounds like they could be on the LSU roster. LOL

Maton looked good. Abreu looked...familiar. His slider is absolutely filthy but there were shades of shaky fastball command.

I have high expectations for Maton this year. He was very solid after coming over
