I sometimes wish I’d been born a “nepo baby” rather than with the bid old dick I have.

Sorry for the crassness, just seeing if it’s possible to elicit some type of response from the olds around here.

Does anyone have any thoughts about the moves that have been made this far? For better or worse?

I mean, he's going home. Not exactly taking an escape hatch.

Gotta have a better read on that to give George a chance to tie or win it. That’s bad baseball.

That was bad baseball.

But the gawd awful baseball part was the first pitch swing by Clement to popout to 1B.

So he can sit with the pitching coach when we play them and repeat you don't have to throw it over the plate

Oh, and don't pitch to Alvarez if he happens to be in the lineup

If hitting coaches are irrelevant, as some people who cover the Astros have insisted, why do teams hire a hitting coach and an assistant hitting coach?

Personally, 2 hitting coaches are probably overkill but the fact teams hire 2 means they don’t think they’re irrelevant, contrary to what at least 1 beat writer insists.

Will someone be paying Caritini to be a starter? He was so valuable to us these last few years it’s gonna suck losing him

I think it would depend upon how many and if said team used analysts to break down opposing pitching

One coach mechanical, the other analytical, but this would assume that said team has an approach at all, which would usually vary from player to player, and with the Astros outside of Paredes and Yed, not evident.

Think we get a compensation pick for Hunter Brown ranking top 3 in CY voting.

So that’s nice

Dubon with another Gold Glove. Nice guy, but not sure he is a necessary component. Has anyone ever been happy to see him coming to the plate in a high leverage situation?

Pretty much every outfield out there.

Take 3 steps forward and never worry about anything going over your head.
