Espada was on astro line last night. Anyone else listen?
He was very high on cole, dezenso, and smith getting a ton of at bats this year. Soinds like he will do morr platooning. He disnt say it but reading between the lines altuve may have a slightly reduced role and yordon may play more in the field.
He said he doeant want yainer being a DH as much but having more full days off.

Outstanding. All the days off last year were a key contributor to our low rate of injuries.

They'll need to trade Jake to make that happen.

I use Google Translate on Dana:
"We tried to trade Christian Walker already but no one wants to eat enough of his salary. Crane done fricked us again. Watch me trade Paredes now. frick me."

Watch me trade Paredes now for broken down Justin Verlander and some independent league relief pitcher.

He’s starting with the bullshite early. I guess he figures if he keeps it up year round the fans will just become numb to it.
So we’re just going to turn Paredes and Walker (and I could see Correa being part of this too with he and Paredes spelling each other at 3B) into part time players?

CC's health is always a wild card even with the position switch, and with Paredes' hammy and the upcoming WBC, this could be a good problem to have.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Dunno much about his repertoire, 2023 draft pick out of South Carolina. 2026 will be his age 25 season. Only made 10 starts in AA this season, must have been banged up. Career 4.26 ERA in the minors with 167 Ks and 45 BB's over 158 innings pitched.

He is pretty low ceiling unless they find some extra velo, which at 25 seems unlikely. But he throws a bunch of strikes and has a good change and slider. He should be able to provide some starters innings next year I would think even if they are very average ones
Brito is a much different story but 2027 may be more realistic for him to have an impact in the rotation.m

Sweet thanks for the info
Saw some AFL buzz about Brito being pretty electric. Finished with 22 punch in 11 innings
Also, excited to see Ulloa in spring. Had a scout buddy who happened to be in SLC when he made a start and saw him and said it was pretty impressive stuff. Said he liked him much more than Blubaugh

If tweet fails to load, click here. What if we built a whole team, but literally everybody was an infielder?
Posted on 11/14/25 at 7:18 pm to Lsuhoohoo
If they keep going after infielders is the plan to actually make Yordan play the field and let Altuve DH? I actually don't hate it.

Any of you baws Baton Rouge based? I've just relocated here a couple weeks ago. May have to buy somebody a beer or two.

He plays all over the field, hits lefty and they need an actual second baseman. It would be surprising if they weren’t interested. Someone else will offer more
Posted on 11/15/25 at 11:34 am to ShaneTheLegLechler
They need some left handed juice. I fear if they don’t make a trade for a Donovan, Dana may pursue Grisham and he screams regression candidate to me
