Congrats baw.

May Jose-Carlos Yordan be our good luck charm in 2026. And good luck to you...with a name like that I foresee a lot of bumps and bruises along the way. Put the boy in bubble wrap now.

Congrats my man

Someone give us the rundown on Burrows. Seems like we gave up a lot unless we thought we were selling high on Brito

Cousin of Joe Burrows. Shoved against the Astros back in June. One of these may be true, zero could be true, but they both are not true.

Congratulations to TigerFan91!

There were a lot of divergent opinions on whether Melton would ever be able to hit lefties and be more than just a platoon outfield bat. It’s too early to write the book on what he can be but that’s a big deal when it comes to what kind of role he can play. I am interested to see what they do in the OF now because they seemed to be penciling him in for some kind of role

Burrows biggest question mark to me is durability since I don’t think he’s ever thrown 100 innings in a season and this organization’s history is what it is. He has a hard sinker and a bunch of good offspeed, if he stays healthy he seems like a pretty safe back end arm (at least) but that’s a big if

Merry Christmas DAT’ers. Hope everyone got some good stuff from Santa to supplement the lump of coal Uncle Dana and Uncle Joe are cooking up for us.

After 13 Major League seasons, reliever Joe Kelly has decided to call a career, as the right-hander told WEEI.com’s Rob Bradford on a recent edition (audio link) of the Baseball Isn’t Boring podcast. In his usual irreverent fashion, the 37-year-old Kelly declined to say he was officially retiring, taking issue with the term itself.

I had no idea irreverent was a synonym for "a-hole".

The 5’11” righty has been one of Japan’s best pitchers over the past two seasons. He’s coming off a 1.92 ERA showing with 178 strikeouts across 163 2/3 innings. Imai has an NPB-best 27% strikeout rate since the start of 2024. He sits in the mid-90s with a promising slider. Command was an issue earlier in his career, but his strike-throwing has progressed as he has gained experience. This past season’s 7% walk rate was a personal low and better than the MLB average.
