At the risk of banishment for stealing a DAT elder’s insult, I really and truly believe that Sanchez is “cheeks”.

I hope they fix the archaic arbitration system in the next CBA

Esock and Yainer didn’t agree and are headed to hearings.

What an ingrate ESock is. We should trade Walker to teach him a lesson.

Didn't expect that kind of patience from Yainer. Figured hed jump on the first offer we threw his way.

He'll make up for be being slow to the hearing.

Gahlee Breg getting 175/5 from the Cubs.
I don’t think that’s a good deal for 32 year old Bregman with that deep left field and playing in those elements. We will see

Pretty surprised Boston didn’t resign him
Wonder if they’ll be interested in Esock now

Quit trying to give away my baby boy Isaac. Y'all really want a lineup that sees 30 pitches all year.

I’d like a + athlete LH hitting center fielder who hits the piss out of the baseball that’s under control thru the ‘29 season yea.
Obviously the better scenario is moving Walker just dk how that works out.

There is another option.
Salary Dump cocksuck in a package with Peña. Return grabs us a legit OFer.
Correa back to SS.
ESock to 1B.
Cam to 3B
I mean, will kick some kittens if they move Peña. But I can see Brown feeling cornered into making some dumb decisions.

You might already have one.

Could very well in Cole, think the beauty is you could maybe acquire one that accumulated 13+ WAR over the last two years and still have room for him to grow at one of the corners too.
Again, I’ll reiterate, goal number one for me (not that anyone should or does care what I think) would be to shed Walker/his money and hopefully get something with a pulse for a return. But I also like dreaming on what Isaac could return especially with maybe a desperate org trying to fill the exact profile he has.

The more I think about it, the more I believe the infield logjam is workable.
The reasons? There are days off to be had for all involved that fill games/ABs required for all to play full seasons, and there's one man's potential flexibility to make to happen.
You can't have Walker and Altuve playing 154/155 games again. They need 30 games off each, not including DH. We know you can stick Altuve in LF at home on occasion to create more infield openings. Pena due to injury played just 125 games but he when healthy should get 20 games off to help keep him fresh anyway. Correa also ideally gets 30 games off. Even a healthy Yed who DHs almost exclusively like in 2024 sits out at least 15 games.
30+30+30+20+15=125 starts minimum for Paredes if you do one thing on occasion...play Correa at second base on days Altuve doesn't play at all. I'm sure Captain Carlito can do that for the good of the team. He can of course slide over to SS when Pena is out.
That way if all of them somehow stay healthy miraculously, you still play everyone a ton and keep them fresh (not counting pinch hit chances close and late that one good bat will always be available to provide).
If Walker is not good enough, you can also take more games away from him for ESock to play 1B.
The beauty of this rotation is that you don't have to play a AAAA filler like Nick Allen ever, if all stay healthy (I know, I know). Your best hitters fill all the ABs on the infield. Another plus - no more catchers filling 1B or DH at bats. Diaz isn't good enough to have those ABs while he's just fine at catcher. Caratini is likely gone.
Of course, someone will get hurt and make this even easier to give everyone all the ABs they need.
If no other moves happen, let Meyers, Cole, Smith, Sanchez, Dezenzo and Matthews (CF) fight it out for the OF spots.

Hopefully there is someone in the front office that can convey this and guide Joe’s hand in making sure everyone gets their share of at bats. You basically got to what I couldn’t in my head whenever Chandler would gnash his teeth and talk down on anyone that said it could not work. It definitely can work with some outside the box thinking and sticking to a plan

Anything can work if all challenged parties are fully committed.
Be a hell of a lot easier to punt on cocksuck though.

Well done. Can’t disagree with the logic, but I don’t see Correa moving over to the other side.
The sad part is that Walker actually ended up getting closer to his average production than we would have figured, but when the average MLB fastball is 95 mph and you can’t catch up to that anymore, it kinda limits your opportunities. LOL

"Captain, help us out until we can clear this logjam. Paredes at 2B isn't ideal ever so if you could do it just every once in a while so he can play 3rd when Jose rests, it would help a bunch. Should be super easy for you." - Jim Crane

Makes too much sense
But don’t you think this is something the organization would already be preparing players and fans to expect like the Tuve to LF offseason last year?
