Schwab floated the theory that theyre looking to acquire Frambers replacement with likely no shot at resigning him. But how in the hell can we acquire a top of the rotation pitcher with continued control?
I'll guess names like Miguel Ullola and Spencer Arrighetti have to come up in those types of talks.

Which would have been the play had not this chopped liver rotation and lineup held like Roaring Kitty
HODL
All joking aside, this trade deadline has become very complicated

As much as I bitch about him being brain dead at times, who can actually come in and be an actual replacement for him that would be willing to accept a contract that Framber wouldn’t accept?
It’s hard for me to reconcile that there is no chance he would come back.

Getting a bat with versatility is important I think with how many moving parts and unknowns there are, both with players returning (or not returning) and guys like Matthews potentially performing and earning a spot
Someone had mentioned Willi Castro earlier in the year and I really like him in that regard. Solid offensively, passable at 2B/SS/3B and LF/RF. Rental so shouldn’t be too expensive to acquire

I don't think he caught on. Hasn't found us yet.

They most likely can’t

Trade for Sonny Gray for this year and next, and make STL take back Latte Lance to off-set the contract cost.

This has to rival a 2013 Astros lineup. Goodness
Cam needed a day off imo he’s been whiffing a lot lately
Also just noticed no Tuve. RIP his left hand

Well, they are salary dumping. If Crane is about difference makers to go over the tax, that's the type of deal you do.

Oh I can certainly see them being in on Sonny Gray, it’s the dumping McCullers on them that’s the dream part

Why the frick is Espada giving Altuve an off day after he DH’d last night

Yeah, with his history of sports psychiatrist use and episodes of mental breakdown on the mound, you would think.
But he made it without his Whisperer, Maldonado, so maybe the sky's the limit now.
If he had any real history of injury, it would be an easy pass, but he has been very durable
Our history of signings at market value all go the way of October Not the World Series, but the 29th of '29
