besides oregon, that is a JOKE of a schedule..

besides Bama i don't know if LSU has exactly a murderer's row of a schedule, either

i don't think Auburn will be that great, again, and i'm holding out opinion on arky until we see how they respond without bobby p claling the plays

Both of y'all are right, but I'll just add, I'd much rather give up 400 passing yards letting them drive but take away 3-4 extra possessions than give up 200, have no turnovers, and give up more points.

well sure, but it's much more likely to give up fewer points if you allow 200 yards than 400 yards, even with turnovers

TCU at 14 is a joke. And I like that program. USC should be #1 ; LSU would be the easy choice if they had a solid returning starting QB. As mentioned earlier, depth will be a problem for USC.

maybe you're right, but besides oregon, they should be favored by at least 2 scores in every other game.. their OOC schedule is very poor.. and don't say ND is good, because they're not

we'll see if ND can avoid turning teh ball over in the red zone this year

i'm in the boat that thinks that ND's consistency in doing this had to be an anomaly

And a defense that gave up 41 points to Arizona, 43 points to Arizona State and 56 points to Stanford, and lost 3/4 of their D-Line.

Their secondary was young and inexperienced to start the year.

USC blew everyone out the SECOND HALF of the season (some teams improve - instead of staying predictable, the same and stagnant - yep) except Oregon and Stanford and those two were in the Top 5 at the end of the regular season.

I hope not, Brian Kelly's meltdowns are so entertaining.

ND had a good team, they murdered themselves with redzone turnovers...the first few games and even against USC.

yeah if ND can solve that single issue they'll be a top 15 team without a doubt, possibly in the top 10

take out the word Oregon and replae it with Alabama (or LSU) and you can say the same thing about LSU (or Alabama's) schedule.

They are a BCS level team, I know its fashionable to bash them, but playing them is not the same as scheduling Sun Belt or FCS teams. They have talent and could be good.

let's just assume they fix the red zone-turnover issue, what really separates them from arkansas?

hell, ND probably has a better D

Whats wrong with Notre Dame being 24?

That's a pretty good spot for them

After they lose to Michigan and Michigan State in September they won't see the top 25 the rest of the year.

I think they beat them both myself. MICH will still be beat up from the Bama game when they play ND. Not sold on MSU this year. BUT we are still talkin about a Kelly coached ND team that will lose at least two games they should win.

By the time USC plays ND (last game of the year) we'll all know whether they are the real deal or a bad team. With ND's schedule, if they have 3-losses or less when they play USC...that's a quality opponent.

SFP, i respect your greatness on this website, but i think you're being a little too optimistic here.. ND's biggest downfall will be their QB play

This is so silly.

I'm sure Alabama will roll Michigan because they are more talented and UM is rebuiding, but they are still some pretty big boys at UM, I'm sure they've been hit before.

Watch and see. Mich getting manhandled by Bama in the opener will have lasting effects. YES even three weeks later.
