ray rice or steve slaton.. who would you rather own???

My sources close to the Texans organization (read: season ticket holder I met on a plane last week) said that Slaton will be the man in H-Town, although they did extend Green. I know that Baltimore didn't look terrible against Cinci, and that Houston looked pretty crappy getting stomped by the Steelers. But my theory is, when you are weighing two options of similar talent/position, go with the team most likely to score a lot. I believe that team will be Houston, although it may take a few weeks for the scoring to start in earnest.

Slaton is going to be the starter period where as Rice is the starter when McGahee can't go.

I know I'm changing the subject, but I need a kicker. I'm considering Kasay. I have Kris Brown. Texans are about to face Balimore, Tennessee, and Jacksonville, and I'm a little worried.

Any ideas?

colston >>>>> berrian
slaton and williams about even
morris is the starter. while willis is probably a better option, your gains in the wr department more than make this an easy choice

My opinion of this trade depends on needs. Are you the one getting Marvin or are you getting Matt? If have to wonder why anyone would have Matt unless they had Brady as well. If you had Brady (and Matt), seems like you'd want to keep Matt. I need clarification.

i picked up matt for trade purposes on monday. I have a need for wide reciever. this guy had tom brady and is now sucking pretty badly at qb.

Should I trade Michael Turner for Reggie Wayne straight up? I have Peterson and Gore right now, but I wouldn't have much of a back-up RB.

Then go for it. Jacobs is solid and McFadden may have trouble in Oakland. Even if McFadden is fine, it looks like Fargas is going to hang around and steal carries all season. Marvin is healthy for now and will catch many once Peyton gets his groove back.

I can't imagine dropping a 93-yard rusher for Morris. Is Maroney dead and no one told me? No way. I doubt we'll see Turner and Norwood go off again like they did last week, but even if they come close it will be greatness. Also, Morris will suffer when Faulk finishes his suspension.

Well, you didn't say how desperate you were at WR. IMO, it will be a miracle if Gore sees 16 starts this year. Turner might. What do you have if you leave Reggie on the table?

At WR, I have Andre Johnson, Roy Williams, and Greg Jennings. With the addition of Wayne, my lineup would be sick.

Williams, Rice (unless McGahee is back), Slaton, Thomas in that order of preference. I hope this is your flex and not your only options.

But you can only start three at time, right? Those are three awesome receivers and three awesome running backs. I wouldn't get greedy and help some other guy with his team.

Having said that, is you league only eight teams? Those line ups are pretty stout.

Trade I'm making:

DeSean Jackson (returns count for nothing in our league)

for

(I get)
Edgerrin James
Reggie Williams

Who gets the best end of the deal?

My RBs are AD, Selvin Young, and Kevin Smith. WRs are Houshmandzadeh, Bowe, Driver.
