Agreed. FGCU has looked like a powerhouse but I think the defense that has been played against them has been pretty atrocious. Lots of ball-watching and wide-open rim-runs. And keep in mind this is a team that lost to Stetson, Lipscomb x 2, ETSU, Mercer, Maine, St. Johns, and got treated like Duke and VCU's 3-dollar whore during the regular season. One would expect to see some regression to the mean in the near future.

If the spread is only 11.5 many tokens should be put on the UF side.
Our defense is too good, we like to run as much as they do and we shoot the ball better.
I don't see how anyone could think FGCU even has a chance unless the rims are covered with plastic wrap on our end of the court.

Just playing Devil's advocate but they blew out Stetson by 30 their first meeting, and blew out ETSU by 20. Sure you could nit-pick wins and losses but consider that 8 of their 9 losses were on the road and that they beat Miami by double digits.
As inconsistent as they are, they are certainly more than capable of holding Florida to the spread.

Kansas almost lost to fricking WKU. They were pretty terrible this year, although I'll say they played legit in that tourney game.
