Jackasses who want to talk about the worst thing you could do on the next shot.... I fricking hate that. Jinxing motherfrickers.

Not to be too obvious but a book similar to Golf 101 or Golf for Dummies would be a jumping off point. I actually took a golf class at USM. Final exam was to complete 18 holes of golf no matter what your score. About 5-6 out of 25 didn't make it.

People who enter tournaments they have no business playing in, and I get to watch you shoot 100 like I'm playing in a damn pro-am

This.....I haven't played Tourney golf in a while, but there was nothing worse than playing in Scratch division and some weekend hero who shot 81 twice in a month from the white tees comes out and blasts 100. Then tells you it's the worse round of his life and you know better because he looks like he's never swung a club.

ETA: Not sure what the name of the tourney is, but it's $150, two rounds, no handicap, you get one practice round with cart anytime before, and they apparently have giveaways and all that good stuff. My buddy said regardless of your outcome it's worth the money and a good time.

Just don't be a douche. If you aren't playing well enough to win and someone in your group is, play at their pace. Don't hold them up.

Definitely. I play pretty fast as it is anyway.

Come play with me
You can watch me swing and then do the opposite.

That's what I tell my son. Of course, he's a lefty, so he has to do the opposite, anyway!

Has...guys who park their cart at the front of the green been said? Holy shite there is usually a good spot to park in the back. I'm trying to tee off on a par three and I got guys walking 20 yards right at me. Then they fill out the scorecard and what not
Then drive off

You shouldn't be trying to tee off on a par 3 when they're walking off the green. That's shitty etiquette by you. Now writing the score down at the same hole is an a-hole move by them.

I've never played in a singles tournament before, but my friend wants me to play in the one at Santa Maria on the 23-24. Y'all ever played in that one?
Yeah, it's a little tournament called the Baton Rouge Open. I played with a couple of arse hats that shot 95+ on Day 1. If you can't break 90 you have no business playing in it, for your sake and the sake of those trying to actually compete.

I love the shite out of that "Get in the hole!" yell on a 470 yard par 5.

I average mid to low 80s from blues, yes keeping myself honest. I know that the gold is the furthest back at Santa Maria, then the blue, so is it from the gold?

Yes, it's played from the Gold (tips), but at low-mid 80's you're not going to be in anyone's way. enjoy!

Definitely one of the worst. Since I was about 8 years old and my grandfather started teaching me the game, he always taught me to grab the pencil when you get back in the cart, drive to the next tee box, and then since you have the pencil in your hand you'll remember to write your score when you get there.
