What's his deal? I had a guy on my HS golf team that I always played terrible with. Dude would just talk to talk. I talk a LOT IRL, but when I hit the course, I say very little. Thought of another thing, and this may be assholish but, I played with my buddy and two of his friends a couple weeks ago. I'm a small guy and hit the ball a long way for someone of my stature. After every shot, "you crushed that" or on an approach: "great shot". It's ok at first but after 3 holes, and I'm -2, it gets old. I wanted to be like "no shite, isn't the point to hit it close to the hole?"

Look, I play with all types of golfers. I get along with everyone. I'm a friendly person, but when I get to the course I become a recluse that doesn't want to talk just to talk. I wouldn't say I'm cocky as much as confident.

What is funny to me is how whenever you play with folks for the first time, whether you know them or not, they ALWAYS say "man I have not played in months" and/or "this is the worst I have ever played" or "I used to be real good." When I am playing with someone new, regardless of how good or bad I am playing, I always say "I am playing well today for me."
What ticks me off is when people in front of you, with no one in front of them, do not play "ready golf." Be at your ball with your club...after the guy farther away hits, do your brief routine and hit the damn ball.
It really pees me off when people are constantly hitting second balls after hitting a shot they are not happy with and people not finishing holes saying "just give me a snowman."
