Sad news.

Why do we care how LeBron and Durant reacted? They are guys that are overpaid to play a game and they don’t even do it for the subject coach in this thread.

Exactly. I'm actually curious of kawhi reached out to pop or is the relationship THAT bad. That actually matters.

It was almost the exact same response as Lebron’s but don’t let that stop the man from acting like retards

KD did what most people do after shitty news and seemed stunned for a while

Lebron seemingly was super ok with the question beforehand, said “absolutely!” to being asked, answered his typical basketball Q&A, and then had a total look of bewilderment and starts saying “oh my god..oh shite” before the question even leaves AL’s mouth. the fact that TNT had to clarify what happened speaks volumes. it looked like to thousands we were seeing a live, genuine reaction to shitty news. LBJ did AF no favors if this was him being told something he already knew.

regardless, time and place

I selfishly hope I go first. I wouldn't survive long after Aggiebelle being taken from me, man. And I've only known her for barely over a decade, kuch less being married to her for four.

very selfish. You are so weak you can't worry about your friends and family who have been there for you only your wife

Spurs say Ettore Messina will coach Game 3 tonight against the Warriors. Gregg Popovich is out following the death of his wife, Erin, yesterday.

Condolences to Pop and his family.

Not sure how I could keep up with spurs news without him.

Spurs are in good hands with Messina.

Watching my spouse die would remove the will to live from me.

I'd stay the course for the kids, but part of me would die with her.

This thread has exposed some true idiots.

Some of you are more concerned with Lebron’s reaction to a question he already knew. Some of you have suggested that he shouldn’t be talking about politics because his wife is sick. Some of you legit asked why this was news.

Some of you are so Twitter-sessed that you HAVE to make this a Lebron thing. This would be news if any coach’s wife passed while he was coaching in the playoffs.

MSB, once again, you fail to disappoint.

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Pop hangs it up and retires to his california winery.

I actually think the opposite happens. This team is his family outside of his wife.

That's true, but to Pop, basketball has always been something he does, not necessarily who he is as a person. Well-rounded/well-grounded dude, with literally nothing left to prove as a basketball coach. He's already given us a couple of "gravy" years, since for the longest time he publicly assumed he'd retire with Duncan.

Wouldn't surprise me at all to see him hang it up sooner than expected, pending coaching Team USA. Wouldn't blame him a bit, either.

Before the wife died would have been a better time for that.
