and I did nothing wrong.......custody issues... sucked... royally
And nothing has changed in that regard, in our society. :(

That comes down to whether or not you believe the LHSAA is an incestuous, back-room organization, or not.

Custody and divorce issues suck across the board, not just for athletes. :(

maybe add some lee way and leniency to the hardship process... but the penalty has to be steep when you try to trick the system.
So... two families do the exact same thing.
One family declares the move directly to the LHSAA, and begs for forgiveness.
The other family does nothing.
You think they should be treated differently? They both broke the same rule.
This whole idea that the family was somehow trying to "trick the system" starts to breakdown when the kid is a star QB who is on the cover of a recruiting magazine. No rational human would think this would fly under the radar.

Obviously by my postings, I do have connection to VCHS... I won't deny that. But no "real skin in the game" except pride.
It is difficult for ALL of the VCHS community to sit back and watch this show.
Won't be silent anymore!!!!!!! (like that)
Apparently the coach and administration have their hands tied by a power over them. Time will tell the truths and we are a strong community!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting. For the coach's sake, I hope he gets a time in the future to tell his side of the story. Because, he looks really, really, REALLY bad right now. And if that's not the truth, then he needs to be given the chance to clear his name.

There’s absolutely no reason to take away his senior year.
Disagree. If he and his family engaged in blatant recruiting violations, then its the right decision. We know that they technically violated the undue influence rule already.
I just feel there is a lot more to this story than what Hahnville is alleging happened.

True.
There are legit criticisms of Bonine but it is undeniable that he has started to root out the unqualified, good-ole-boy system within the LHSAA and bring in young, professional, qualified executives.

Eddie Bonine is going to be on WWL Radio tonight at 515 I think.

Totally agree!
He is a coach... and human... probably has made a mistake or two like everyone. But to be "praised" in May and then in September to be thrown under the bus when things didn't go the athlete's way is smelly to me!
The family did NOT have a bona fide move.
It was NOT for financial reasons.
The family is devastated, I don't blame them as this is a terrible thing to face as a parent.
However, play by the rules and these things usually don't happen. I will continue to preach that and teach my own children that lesson.
Every one involved should as well... life would be so much nicer. wait forgot these!!!!!!!

With Christian Garic and Bobby Hebert asking the questions? Oh jeez.
"Yeah Eddie, but no...yeah...but no..."
Is there anyone in local radio competent to do any better, though?
Personally, I like Kenny Trahan, but many don't as he's a Catholic League guy. I'm a Catholic League guy, but have trouble with Vandebilt's role, or at least Coach Atwell's alleged words and actions.
I mean WWL has no one else right? Detelier? Steve Gellar? Mark Menard?
We shall see. I'll leave work a bit late to try and hear it.

If it's just a basic interview, who cares who does it.
If they are trying to ask tough questions and not him off the hook, I'd see if Lee Zurik wants to do WWL radio a solid.
Or hell, see if Jim Henderson can cut his daily fishing outing short today.

In all my years here, I've seen that handle.
Who is Tzimme4, however?

I haven't dug deep into the details, and I'm really not taking either side here. I tend to lean more towards "rules are rules" and if you break them AND GET CAUGHT then you suffer the consequences.
Was the kid's father really "let go" before all this took place? What was the reason he was let go?
As for VCHS whining about being criticized, if they have something to defend themselves with, why not publicize it? If not, shut the hell up and take your criticism.

I think it is fair to say he was really let go and the reason would be confidential between Coach R and the school.
Also fair to say he wasn’t shopping for schools before being fired. But I can’t say for certain.

Apparently is on radio now. Anybody listening?

NOW?
It's not Eddie Bonine. It's Colyer Robison campaigning for intervention from the governor, and state legislature. Kristian Garic conducted the interview. She's got a Facebook page up full of comments.
She would NOT expound, at all, on why her husband was let go "out of respect for Vandebilt."
Bundy won't come on the show, K-Dawg just said.
There will be quotes after ad spots.
