From what I've read about him, I would say Charles Haley may have been the "hardest" aflete ever. In more ways than one.

I'll say MMA guys. I doubt if ANY athlete from the NBA, NHL, NFL, or MLB would want to fight one of those guys in a bar or club. Yeah it's easy to be hard when you have a gun and your boyz around(talkin about NFL and NBA guys).
