Except for 1A, the home teams really dominated tonight

Because Ruston thought they broke the plane of the goal line and the refs never signaled, just stared at each other for 20 seconds until time ran out. Most bizarre thing ever and I hope they get fired.

They said Zachary coach even admitted Ruston got screwed I heard it was bad

Yep was there. Same a year or so later when they held down Clyde Edwards-Helaire.

I was at the game, and the Referees should have stopped time to get the Bronco players out of the pile as they lay there slow to get up, to check the spot and then signal TD or not. Then they could allow them to get set to start time as it should run naturally.

It took them until 4 seconds left as time ran off with everyone looking around at each other to signal no TD. By that time Zachary players were literally timing the run off the field

ETA that Zachary has the youngest dang defense they have fielded for a semifinal team since their ran began years back.

#70 who is a freshman is going to be a bad mother freaker. Kameron Hamilton 6'4" 280 Freshman. God they are young across the board. Acadiana will likely wreck their world, but next year they are going to be as good as Acadiana is this season with the talent returning for Zachary.

That is how I saw it.

I’m a CHS alum so I’m happy to see them in the finals when they’ve gotten there, but the select/non-select BS can’t end soon enough.

Imagine Rummel, CHBR, JC, Acadiana and Zachary in the same class ??????

It would be crazy strong competition. I don’t think CHS has the 2 or 3 titles they’ve won if not for the split, but they’re doing great with the hand they’ve been dealt.

So 2 weeks in a row refs screwed Zachary opponents out of wins. Pitiful.

And I am guessing that only negatively effects catholic right?

Catholic has beaten evangel, Curtis, and Rummel all in the playoffs

They have also beaten the 5a champs a few times, but it’s safe to say their titles are only due to the split

It’s just laughable butthurt

There's teams that become a different beast in the playoffs like Westgate, Acadiana, Karr

And there's teams that always choke like Lakeshore, De La Salle, St. Aug, Easton

What would you call a team that shut out the most dominant team in Louisiana history for the first time in 18 years?

And if they beat Rummel for a 3rd time in 4 years in the playoffs?

That would cap off an amazing season. I would personally like to see y'all play Karr again. I'm not sure what the hell happened in that first game.
