I never said anything about shooting percentage. I showed their two year comparison of points, rebounds, assists, and blocks. I also left out the fact Shaq was a year behind Laettner, making his stats even more impressive.
And I also said Laettner deserved the POY. I have not said anything about Laettner being a bad player, I've just said Shaq was better, even in college, as shown by the fact he had better numbers. And the argument that Laettner dominated Shaq in their individual matchups is A) a red herring and B) not true.

It has always been a controversy...nobody denies that. Just bc this show says it does not prove anything. Its always been there.

I'm curious how that played out. I don't think he was in debt on his own accounts, but his company was going bankrupt after the 2008 crash, and there were several athletes and coaches who he owed money to. I think his biggest debt was to Shawne Merriman and was around 2 million bucks.
I'm assuming they were resolved in some way since we don't see stories about it anymore, and I'm almost positive he still has his beachfront house in Florida, so i'm guessing he either dipped into his NBA earnings and paid everyone off after the threat of lawsuits became more real or something.
Don't imagine Merriman would let it go quietly, otherwise.
