I saw it was also State's first home win over a ranked non-conference team since 1991, which was Jackie Sherrill's first season in Starkville. That's pretty incredible.
Definitely worth storming the field for.

Classic LSU fan attitude. It’s ok to bash another team but don’t let anyone talk bad about us. You seem to be a fan that blames the refs for every loss and they should never throw a flag on LSU.

Since Coach died, our program has been in a nose dive worse than some aircraft I’ve seen. I’m not a fan of allowing fans on fields and courts, after years in the military and the Postal Service, safety is embedded in my brain.
I thought the saddest part of that was after the game, I overheard two girls talking while in line for coffee the next morning. One girl said “Wasn’t rushing the field fun,” and the other girl said yes but then asked her who we played.
