Cam wins league MVP.

Palmer wins Super Bowl MVP.

Carson is destroying Cam in yards passing. But Cam is a polarizing fan favorite and Carson is vanilla.

Because rushing yards and TDs mean nothing

Yeah, Cam Newton will win it only because he is obnoxious. That's perfect.

This is fricking stupid. As of right now here are the comparison in passing stats

Palmer: 4165 YDS 31 TD 9 INT 64%

Newton: 3502 YDS 33 TD 10 INT 59%

Palmer WRs: Larry Fitzgerald, Malcolm Floyd, John Brown

Newton WRs: Tedd Ginn, Jericho Cotchery, Devin Funchess

Palmer's top 3 WRs would be the best WR on the Panthers. Cardinals OL >>>>> Panthers OL

Why because Carolina's #3 ranked defense is 3 games better than Arizona's #4 ranked defense?

quote:

The Panthers run an offense that Cam absolutely thrives in and relies heavily on the run much like at Auburn. (over 50%)

You do realize that Arizona outrushes Carolina by about 300 yards if you don't take into account Cam's ~600 yards?

You also realize that you are arguing that Cam doesn't deserve to get the MVP because his team is taking advantage of his freak talent right?

No. I'm not mixing and matching stats to try to prove a point, nor am I saying one should win over the other. His rushing yards contribute to his candidacy as the MVP, though I don't find him to be as valuable as Palmer, only because we saw just last season what the Cardinals look like without him. We haven't seen that situation with Cam and the Panthers.

ETA: You're obviously frustrated and extremely defensive when it comes to this topic. I think if anything, you should enjoy watching your obvious favorite player dominate at the highest level. This is the 2nd time in what, 6 years that he's been 14-0 as a starting qb? Enjoy it and stop trying to attack everyone who doesn't automatically pick Cam.

You mean after they lost both Palmer and Stanton? Cardinals didn't go full dumpster fire until they had to sign a guy off the street to play for them. If Derek Anderson was QB for either team, he likely will do better with the Cardianls and their WRs/OL

ETA**: I am a huge Cardinals fan (480 represent) and love Carson Palmer. I wouldn't be upset if Palmer deserved to win MVP and did over Cam

I am defensive about people making dumb arguments. There are arguments against Cam Newton as MVP that hold some weight. Yours just aren't them

Tom Brady is the guy who has a real argument vs Cam due to superior stats, injuries to top WRs/TE and OL + great record

I think you're just failing to see that I didn't pick anyone out of Cam or Palmer (entire reason for thread). I think they're both playing great football and that Cam (didn't start the year off fantastic but has been incredible the last 7 weeks) is running his offense that caters to him to perfection.

I dont believe this one bit. Stanton can lead them to .500.

I never said you did, I was simply breaking apart your arguments/observations that either were misleading or wrong.

For example, you say that Cam is in an offense perfect for him which implies that is unique to Cams situation. That ignores that Palmer is a near perfect QB for a Bruce Arians offense, as per Arians himself.

The Cardinals actually have a higher ranked defense.

I'd vote cam, but Palmer winning wouldn't make me mad. He's been great.

People are just totally forgetting to add in cams rushing stats like it isn't a valuable part of his wins. Y'all know nothing

Eh most people know that the style of offense that Brady is in makes him and his numbers look better than he is. Dude will throw 40 passes a game, and only 10 of them will be more than 5 yards past the line of scrimmage

If it was that easy, every team would run the offense. Brady finds the open receiver in like avg 1.6 seconds. No one else is under 2 seconds. Insane how quick he processes

Bradys running back is Blount, best OL and WR injured and still has unreal stats.

Let's take a look at Carolina's cupcake wins this season:

Jacksonville - weak team
Houston - weak team
New Orleans - weak team
Tampa Bay - mediocre team
Seattle - mediocre early in the season
Philadelphia - weak team
Indianapolis - weak team
Green Bay - mediocre team
Tennessee - weak team
Washington - weak team
Dallas - weak team
Atlanta - weak team
New York Giants - weak team

Seattle is the only decent defense they played against.

Guess I can bump this thread.

Has anything changed?

Is Cam still the leader? Or is it Palmer?
