nearly did last year

if you try to wait and sign stars in there prime to long contracts you'll never be good in the modern NBA, this is what teams outside of Miami, LA, New York, and Boston have to do.

you expect him to bash a player he just signed?

this is accurate

I like to compete. And I have a bad knee now so can’t dominate on the court like I used to. Although I am still real solid. So I come here to compete and dominate.

Sure, like the number of titles(team stat) being used to say 1 player is better than another.

James Jones was better than KD before 2 seasons ago according to your logic.

I think you're misunderstanding.

If I want to win a title next year I'm taking KD first. He's the best in the game.

Second I might take Curry. Easiest to build around.

Third I'm taking AD. Elite two-way player entering his prime .

Fourth I'm taking 34 year, season 16 LeBron James, who just punted on going to the finals. If you can't beat GSW in June, why not go home in April?

This is not indictive of James all time rank, or his spot has the second best individual player in the game today.

Chris Paul, I don't draft.

Fat James Harden, falls to 15th. Fit James Harden is 6th.

Healthy Kawhi is 5th.

Why over Lebron?

Why AD over Klay or Draymond? When answering, remember Klay/Draymond have won 3 of 4 titles, almost as many titles as AD's won playoff games, 3 to 5, right?

Depends on who you surround him with, bc he sho wasn't winning titles before joining Steph, Klay and Dray, won a league MVP one of those non-title years

Agreed, he is the centerpiece of that team and franchise

FINALLY some logic out of you!

I mean, it really depends on preference when it comes to selecting LeBron bc some hold him at a higher level than others but you can't deny the objective: that dude has led 2 SEPARATE FRANCHISES to 8 STRAIGHT FINALS APPEARANCES and defeated the greatest regular season team of all-time, not considering him would make ZERO SENSE

quote:

Chris Paul, I don't draft.

Reasonable, he's starting to break down at this point in his legendary career, reliability factor diminishes to a degree

quote:

Fat James Harden, falls to 15th. Fit James Harden is 6th.

Makes sense

quote:

Healthy Kawhi is 5th.

Now THAT would be interesting since we have the drama of last season to factor in but I can't deny the dude's talent simply a great 2-way player when healthy

I believe I answered.

However, LeBron fans consistently say he has no help, despite always being on high payroll teams, so by that logic it must be real tough to build around an all time great.

Steph Curry is a better shooter & runs an offense better than LeBron. He's clearly less selfish, easier to build around.

It's very easy to see that.

Lebron is clearly the better basketball player, so I'm gonna assume your answer wasn't sufficient.

Cleveland had a higher payroll than GS last season. Did Lebron have more help than KD?

Lebron is easily better than Steph, it's not close.

Steph isn't as good as Lebron as a basketball player, it's not close.

2 MVPs, 3 titles. Greatest shooter ever.

Lot closer than LeBron fans want to admit.

Steph has changed the game.

Also, Curry is a top 25 all timer, with another 5-7 years to add to his legacy. Might crack Top Ten.

I'm sure you agree hes surpassed Chris Paul, right?

I don’t hate Lebron at all bubba. It’s one of those “what might have been” situations. we gonna always think about how much stronger his legacy would be without resorting to super team to win a title.

You, Skip Bayless, and Doug Gottlieb are like the only people who apply this logic in assessing a legacy, its hysterical to say the least.

Iggy did more than n moute

Yes Houston would have had a shot if cp3 hale and hearty, but excuse me for pointing he did the same thing in 2 of 3 other series vs the goldies.
To be clear, leg injury hobbled and or ended participation vs Goldies.
This makes 3 out of 4. He beat them once.
On what planet is that not an indicator.
That says he is likely to be out in one of the 2 next years playoffs. They will be in it.
They will be top 3 seed in west.
And you need to feel and accept how loooonnnnggg the odds are against cp3 playing in the 7th game of the nba finals.
2 or 3 6 or 7 game series.
100 games. Nah.

Also if you get to posit healthy cp3, then posit healthy iggy. He was not yet in shape when he joined the fray.
