Hard to say he doesn’t win in the playoffs when he consistently advances more than any other player. he wins when he has the better team, and loses when his help doesn’t show up, all the while being the best overall player in nearly every series.

Yea it didn’t “matter” when they were down 0-2 and he dropped 40 both games to tie it up.. It didn’t “matter” in game 5 when he was 10/16 for 31 pts 8 assists.
the cherry pickers have to pick and choose what games “matter” where the rest of us don’t. If he played like Steph and Steph played like him it was gonna be GSW in 4.

Hasn’t he totally No showed in multiple win or go home games? It’s possible I misremembered.
Regardless, a guy like Dirk is miles better in his career than James. I think Dirk is probably a top 30 guy.

Harden has better playoff stats than Dirk. The year dirk won the title he got a better performance out of Jason Terry than harden ever got out of CP or Russ. Not to mention Dirk lost to an 8 seed as a 1 seed. HRden lost to a lower seed once. It was the warriors.

Depends, what's his rating?

Just a couple of weeks ago Zach Lowe did a deep dive watching games and digging into playoff Harden.
He couldn't believe it, it was worse than he thought or even imagined.
Oof

I wonder if guys in this thread thinks guys like Ray Allen and Reggie Miller were better or not

He cherry picks what games are important. Just like you. Down 0-2, down 1-3, up 3-1.. not important. They don’t fit the agenda. You gotta seek out the bad games, then find some kinda funny business to include them. It is Intellectual dishonesty at its finest.

Which one has a ring? And which one won the H2H on the way to said ring?

Jim having 3 2/11 games is dishonest.

Does anyone know if Harden's stats go up or down in the Finals versus the playoffs leading up the the Finals? That would be telling.

His regular season BPM Is like 8th all time playoff BPM 13th all time.
Regular season PER is around 11th, playoff PER is around 20th
So it goes down some but still all time elite.
A lot of that is due to competition. The fella earlier posted somehting about McGrady. Well McGrady never made it out of rd 1 so his whole playoff career was v rd 1 opponents. Never had a knock ‘em out drag em out conference championship series. So he obviously had much softer competition that what any of the guys who have gone deep in the playoff have faced. It’s Always helpful to add context.
