Would say one of the more overrated. Harbaugh may save his career. When things are clicking he’s great, but he’s a mental head case at the first sign of adversity.

There's a metric that I saw that measures the help a qb gets from blocking and other skill players. The chargers ranked 28th in the NFL. The fact that the Chargers are in the playoffs is a minor miracle.

It bothers me when media puts him in the franchise category. Hes more in line with a Baker or darnold at this point than an Allen, Mahomes, etc…yet for some reason the media crowns him consistently.

LSU fans have a major blind spot with Herbert because he came out with Burrow. Some things never change.

One of them has five playoff wins and a Super Bowl appearance. The other one has zero playoff wins. I’ll let you figure out which is which.

Herbert has been under pressure on average more than any QB this season (40%) and hasn't been much better over the years. He is tough as nails with how many hard hits he takes and shakes it off.

False. Second most at 29%.

He's 13th in qbr this year and was 11th last year. He's regressed a decent bit under Harbaugh.

Thanks for making my point. LSU fans can't help but look at Herbert through this lens. It distorts the entirety of your thinking.

Context is king. They keep losing OL. That's just bad luck.

Using team accomplishments to compare individual players in football is crazy work.

But by your own logic, Hurts is easily a better quarterback than Burrow right? So is Stafford. Brock Purdy is at worst Burrow’s equal then too, by your own logic.

Eli Manning is going to the hall of fame squarely because of “this lens”

But sure, lsu fans or whatever

The lens is a comparison to Burrows. It's not all about you.

Uh, Ok. If actual achievements don’t work, should we just use “potential” as our lens? If so, JaMarcus Russell may be the greatest QB in the world, but I guess we’ll never know. Hell, that Ryan Leaf guy checks all the right boxes.

No his throwing motion was always long and now his accuracy really declined under Harbaugh. Guy makes so many terrible throws nowadays. Hard to put him inside the top 10 with his play the last 2 years.

He was top 5 until his 2 offensive tackles got injured for the year.

Eli actually won his Super Bowls though including one against an 18-0 juggernaut that has already beaten them in the Meadowlands.

Even then most NFL fans don’t believe he deserves that because he was a mediocre QB his entire time in the league.

If your entire argument for a player’s greatness is a Super Bowl APPEARANCE that his defense and special teams had to carry him to, that player isn’t great at all.

Team accomplishments don’t matter at all when discussing an individual football player’s greatness unless you are a mouth-breathing mongoloid. I could make the case for Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, or Drew Brees to be the greatest QB of all time without mentioning a single team accomplishment even though I don’t believe any of them are the greatest QB of all-time.

Just watch him throw. He's a mess. That's why his Qbr has tanked outside of the top 10 for consecutive seasons. Doesn't even look like the same guy.

Even Burrow with a much worse OL and injury plagued season had a higher QBR. He'd be 14th if Burrow qualified.

lol no one worth their weight in catshit uses ESPN’s QBR nonsense.

He had the best passer rating of his career in 2024. His Passer rating was lower this season because of 3 dogshit games but losing your top two linemen and being the second most pressured qb in the league will have that effect.

Just because the Raiders are dog water doesn’t mean that the rest of the AFC West shares your problems.
