Zeke got run from the Knicks for sexual harassment so he's not pinnacle of professionalism either. And no, warming up in an empty arena shirtless is not unprofessional.

You’re a bit of an old head so you’ll get this but let’s look at the parallels in the history of the NBA with the face of the league and its popularity. The NBA became popular on the backs of the Bill Russell Celtics with Russell as the face of the league and Wilt to some degree. Russell is the quintessential statesman and Wilt though more bombastic was also likable and relatable. Those personalities led to popularity and expansion of the league. Then you get to the 70s with Kareem who was introverted, divisive and angry which led to a fall in popularity, leaving the NBA on life support before Magic and Bird who saved the league with Magic’s almost Disney like, joyous persona and Bird’s low key but very respectful personality. Then you have MJ, all business on the court but very approachable, media savvy and overall mass appeal to the public, shooting the league into a global powerhouse. Now you have Lebron, selfish, perpetual victim, divisive, doesn’t want to lead and the league is in turmoil with popularity dropping. It’s not hard to understand what’s going on if you’re not some idiot fanboy who deifies Lebron.

Is this the same guy that slinked off the court prematurely after getting swept by the bulls, not to mention is team is best known for being dirty?

Yet the players and the league are making more money than ever

So are the majority of Americans, doesn't mean they're doing better fan-wise.

Thomas was fearless but nobody feared him. He was like the Chiwawa biting at your ankles.

I think Bird may have been the best overall player out there but that dude could trash talk and back it up like no other….haha.

But Magic and him were great for the nba no doubt.

Professional sports peddle nostalgia. It's a big part of the business. Don't untether yourself from conventions of the past out of laziness.

Ha, sorry I guess I was not very clear....when I mean no one feared him it was in the realm of physical confrontation. I saw several times Thomas would bark or push or even one I remember him taking a swing at someone and they would mostly just laugh at him.

Once people realize that everything LeBron does is for attention their life will be better.

Yeah, when season starts, they get off their cycles, and gain the weight back.
