Being a Bama fan has to be empty AF. It’s championship or fail.
What was so special about 19 is that LSU out of nowhere had a competent passing offense overnight led by a QB that might have had a 7th rd grade before the season (strictly based on intangibles)
And LSU’s schedule was a murderer’s row. That season truly came out of nowhere, but as it went on it was obvious that they were not going to lose and that 19 LSU team and 19 Heisman Trophy would have a hard time being topped by anyone anytime soon.
Then the world went to shite with Covid and also the transfer portal devolved into an out of control situation.NIL’s we’re approved a year later as well.
LSU not only has arguably the best championship, they might also have the last pure championship.

One of the worst posts of all time

I see laughing, but when players and coaches don’t get to have normal practices or meetings and players and coaches are ruled out of key games due to positive and false positive tests of a virus that largely does not impact 20 year old athletes, it does delegitimize the season at least a little bit because winning it all is more based on virus luck and/or effectively covering up Covid testing.
There was also a crazy amount of opt outs in 2020. And then the NIL stuff started in 2021.
The last true National Champs are the 2019 LSU Fighting Tigers, led by Joe Burrow. 2020 and beyond is a new era, a new frontier marred by many factors that have damn near ruined college football as we know it.

I’ve seen some awful takes before, but this is right up there as one of the worst.

You’re weird. I barely care about LSU players in the pros. I’d hope the Saints sack Burrow 11 times

Paying players never occurred before 2021

Joe is one of those.
That he is, which makes me wonder if some of you guys have ever heard Joe Burrow speak, because he was at the forefront of the NFL "white ally" movement last year.
