Reminds me of Deron Williams more than anything. Williams played with the same style while at Illinois. Jimmer and Reddick don't compare real well, IMO, Fredette is better off the dribble.

Kinda reminded me of Hedo Turkoglu. I haven't seen much of him though.

He will be more of a passer at the next level. I think he'll be a cross between Curry and Calderon.

And he's not as quick as curry, but he's still really good at getting in the lane. The difference is that he'll be setting up more guys in the NBA than finishing.

Deron Williams
Steve Nash
Hedo Turkoglu? WTF he's 6'10"
steph curry

these are all horrible comparisons. He is way closer to Dan Dickau than any of those guys.

If, when he gets to the NBA, and he is able to get in the lane like DWill, Nash or Curry, I will eat my words. He just looks a step slow, even 2 steps slower than those guys. He isnt as quick, for 1, and not nearly the dribbler those guys are. Can you imagine him trying to get around a guy like Rajon Rondo?

Horncek isnt a bad comparison but i doubt he is ever as good as Hornacek was at his peak.

I see Freddette as a more stationary shooter in the NBA. Kind of like Redick or Eddie House but can play PG in a pinch.

Whoever compares him to JJ Reddick, obviously didn't watch much college basketball.

I'd draft him in the top 3. He's a Nash like player with a ton of skill. And yes I used Nash because they're both white

If he really works on his ballhandling skills I can see him as a Mark Price type.

He's got no real upside to the NBA as far as being a star. He could be a good role player similar to Reddick. Nothing wrong with being a role player.

The Turkoglu comparison is probably the best. Steph Curry works too.

Like Turkoglu, Fredette needs the ball in his hands to be successful. BYU doesn't really run him off screens like a Reddick or Reggie Miller type.

In fact, BYU doesn't really run any offense. They let Fredette dribble around while the other 4 guys watch him. He then waits for a double time to kick it or shoot.

It will be interesting to see how he does in the NBA when he has to play away from the ball a lot more than he is used to. I think he would be a good guard off the bench to run some point and give some quick points. He is undersized and a bad defender to guard a lot of 2's.

He will play in the league for a while, but I doubt he is ever an all star. Jeff Hornacek is another white guy comparison that comes to mind.
