So now I'm to believe that all along people never had a problem with a super team? It was really about the TV special?

Yes? Is that honestly that hard to believe?

Some people were fricking idiots and tried to act all nostalgic and like "back in my day" dumb fricks. They, as I already stated, were mostly idiots. shite like this has been going on way before Lebron was even born.

Others, like me, thought Lebron handled what was an otherwise rational and respectable position which was wanting to find a better situation to win a title after giving his all to an incompetent organization that continued to fail him, but he for some reason decided to go about it like a fricking dickhead and it rubbed me the wrong way.

I understand that it's a very difficult concept for people to understand, but this fricking sucks for the league. I like Durant, but he's a bitch for making this move. It would be like Lebron joining the Celtics in 2010.

This world where giving yourself the best chance to win makes you a bitch, and also this world were every single one of us would do the thing that makes our job easier/more successful but we call others names for doing it.

When we're complaining about how no one but GS will win the title now (and maybe that happens) remember we said the same thing in 2010 and LeBron and the Heat won 2, but they also lost 2. One with an epic LBJ melt and the other by historic margin.

Lebron's come out and expressed regret for the Decision yet people still rail on him. So I find it hard to believe that all of the angst was for that 1 hour.

If all people were waiting for was for him to express contrition for the Decision, well the hate would stopped a long time ago.

I think as fans realized that players they liked were going to go the same route in regards to teaming up, they had to find a way to distinguish what Lebron did as more despicable somehow. So today it's all about "how Lebron left" when for years all I heard was that the teaming up part was what he deserved criticism for.

Agreed. Though I think this is a bit different. You now have 4 of the arguably ten best players in the league on one team. With some very cohesive role players.

With that said, my biggest looming question for GS going forward is who comes in to prevent what OKC and CLE showed can really hurt them? Which is using size and power to get additional possessions through boarding and the inability to protect the rim consistently without Bogut? When Bogut went down and I saw how easy it was for the Cavs to get into the paint and get extra possessions I started to think that honestly, Bogut may be more important then Iggy over a full season and the entirety of the playoffs.

True. They're deeper than the Heat were.

I mean at one point they could have a 2-time MVP, a 1-time MVP, a Finals MVP, and a DPotY runner-up all on the court together.

Well it was a dickish way to handle it. And funnily enough Cleveland fans were some of the most outspoken about it as well until he came back. Now it's often Cleveland fans knighting for The Decision. A fascinating case study in social behavior. Though good on Lebron for recognizing and apologizing.

He just makes it hard to like him at times. I was 100% rooting for him after he went back to CLE but then he started with some of his nonsense again.

However the process led to a championship and even though I could criticize some things from a short and long term perspective, he gets to serve the crow on that one and I'm happy to take it.

Plus I got to witness a series that will be remembered for generations and I got to witness it live. And frankly, at this point, I would love to see Lebron take down this new Warriors super team. It would be poetic in a way.

Y'all think Durant walked up to Steven Adams and kicked him in the dick before he left?

Honestly I'm conflicted with Durant leaving, on the one hand I have no sadness for OKC likely experiencing a period of darkness. Not after Seattle, not after some of the underhanded shite they tried to pull when my team was located their after Katrina. In that sense, frick em.

But I also hate the way the league is set up right now. You could basically hit fast forward on the season barring major injuries and we know what the next Finals will look like. So it makes a lot of the season feel pointless. More so then it already is. It feels like you can be a really good team, and their are several in that category and OKC was just one of them, but the opportunity for those teams to win a chip is about once a decade. Outside of that it is super teams going back and forth until a new super team takes its place.

If he goes back to OKC they are still one of the top 3 title contenders in the NBA next year. That wasn't good enough for him?

Cleveland won 66 before Lebron left, that wasn't good enough?
