You can deny a kid that lives in your zone. If they do not live with legal guardians or the domicile parent you can turn them away.
Now, if the student comes in and says they are homeless, federal law says you must enroll them. After they are enrolled, you can investigate to ensure their claims are accurate.

If the transfer were to ever pass, it would ruin high school sports as we know it.
The transfer rule in college football is why you are seeing a lot of people losing interest.

College Football ratings have steadily increased every year. The playoffs this year saw a 14% increase in viewership compared to last year.

Antonio.....do you think HB664 will pass when the legislature goes back into session?
Who knows?
Not sure what the enforcement mechanism is. The bill isn't well drafted.

It's MFP money. I doubt it passes though.

But what is the enforcement of the rule? Does the legislature think the Department of Education is going to pull MFP funding from a school for being in the LHSAA?
That’s not a great way to stay elected.

Who fricking cares? Principles are literally the dumbest fricks on earth.
Let people go wherever they want. They wont go elsewhere if you make your school top notch

Educators and principles love to shout fairness so they make sure the money is coming in and they don’t actually have to succeed at their job. They don’t want free choice, they like doing the bare minimum

Let’s be fair. They like excuses a lot too…
