False

3. Be free of rattles, dents, burrs, cracks and sharp edges. Bats that are broken,
altered or that deface the ball are illegal. guess again

No scores to post until tomorrow, at least. So are you saying we should just let it sink to the next page or so?

True. Thought you were talking about using non BBCOR bats or BBCOR bats that are banned like the Cat 5 and the Reebok bat. Does anyone know why they banned the Cat 5? I noticed when it came out that the Cat 5 had more pop to any other BBCOR bat out there. Is there some kind of other illegal material in that bat?

Let’s do that. Let’s talk St Amant and Sulphur. They played once this year and Sulphur beat St Amant in extras 6-3. Gators had a lot of opportunities and couldn’t get their runners home in that game. Too many runners left in scoring position.

St Amant is hot with a lot of confidence right now but they haven’t really played any competition so far except against the pitchers that Destrehan had and they did pretty good that game

What's crazy is to ban just 1 length.

I've never seen the "reason" spelled out but since the bat testing procedure is all about measuring the coefficient of restitution, it would seem highly likely that the reason would be that.

The other requirements are mainly related to measurements except for the moment of inertia in relation to a specified location along the bat. That could possibly be the reason because only the 33" of that model was decertified and no others.

Yeah that makes zero sense to me. Why ban only a 33 inch bat?

Length can directly affect the COR and moment of inertia.

Forgive my ignorance, but what public NOLA schools have ever been good in baseball?

Hahnville and Destrehan were always good. I just don’t think of them as NOLA per se, but I understand those that do. Just seems like when 8 teams went to state it was always Jesuit, Brother Martin, Rummel, WM, St Amant, Airline, Barbe, and a wildcard.
