Tonight?

Uhhh you realize putting the bat on the ball isn't a hit tonight....right?

Sam Houston had no hits all game.

Walker pitched against Sam Houston twice and fricking dominated both times. Sam Houston is top 25 nationally. That's an amazing thing to do.

No HS kid should throw that many pitches in one game.

Great effort but selfish on Coaches part, IMO.

oh quit the whining. 125 pitches won’t hurt the kid this late in season.

Na...this late in the season he is prepared for it. He has not been abused at all by barbe coaches. And this is for a chance at a state championship, I'm 100% jack wanted the ball and insisted he was staying in.

There is a reason the max pitch count is 115.

Got to remember he has hardly any wear and tear on him. Was hurt as a sophomore, most of junior year was cancelled.

BTW did any of yall see that amazing play by Sam Houston catcher earlier in the game? He was amazing all game and I feel bad he was the one that dropped that ball.

Who's whining? It's an opinion.

Doesn't matter where it's at in the Season, it's still a lot.

Na pitchers used to pitch 140+ before the rule was put into place.

He has very little mileage, promise that.

From the other angle it looked to be almost perfect throw. Low but perfect for the tag.

As good as he played i thought he should have caught it in real time.

Was not same catcher. A new catcher was brought in at end of game.

We had a kid throwing complete games with 120+ pitches several times, back when I was in high school. He was a great player and never had an arm issue from it

Side note, how nice is it to see full stands for these kids after last year?

Imo it’s not the pitch count killing their arms. It’s the fact that once the HS season is over they take two weeks off then start summer ball. Then fall ball, etc

Players have gone from throwing in the spring to year round abuse on the arm.

Man, it’s a tough tough scene for Catholic when they get to sulphur. They cannot win there...I feel for them. Haven’t won a state title when the game is in sulphur despite how many trips they’ve made there.
