Chalmette was integrated sometime in the late 60's. I attended that school from 66-70 when I graduated and I vividly remember the 69 graduating class being referred to as "The Last Of The White Owls" at the time.

Yeah, back then Norris Weese was QB and Stanley Moley was the star running back.
If memory serves me right, that was the game against Woodlawn that was led by QB Joe Ferguson who, along with Norris Weese, went on the play in both college and the NFL with Ferguson having the better career of the two.
Unfortunately for Weese, he passed away a relatively young man in his early 40's from cancer.

1978 st aug and 2003 Lutcher have arguments as well as tomorrow night and last week’s game

I picked Acadiana to come out of that side of the bracket.
I'm going to Memorial tonight to check out Madison Prep/St. James. St. James is on the decline so I don't expect much from them.
Tomorrow night I'm gonna check out Woodlawn/Destrehan.

I'm seriously considering going to tomorrow night's game with the wife. We will head down to Da' Parish at least once a season to take in a game, may as well be a Playoff Game.
I'm sure it's going to be a madhouse in the stadium.

I was down on the sideline pregame, but I’m up top during the game. Sorry I missed you.

What’s the best place to grab dinner in Chalmette before the game?

Back when I was going to school there, the big rival was the Nichol's Rebels from the Bywater area. Now the Nichol's Bobcats I believe.

Found out who runs the “unofficial Chalmette Owls” Twitter account. Or at least someone who follows it.

How bad is Brother Martin going to beat Byrd? I’m a Byrd guy, but not optimistic. Anybody have some insight?
