Ruston 27
West Monroe 6 final

WM had 4 TOs, which Ruston converted into scores.

Huge game next week for West Monroe against Sterlington.

Sterlington has built a very good program and this could be a huge game if they can pull out the W.

QB isn’t the problem…. But it isn’t a strength either. He’s an avg HS QB

CHS is overrated this year. QB is mediocre & is going to be w/o the strong OL he had last year.
If Catholic struggles this year, it will not be due to the QB. He was a Sophomore last year and was a key contributor to the state title.

He will not be any better as a Jr. than as a So. He got ALL the 1st team reps last year. Had NO competition w/ 1’s —— the other 2 QBs…. Got no QB 1T reps —- and they both should have - therefore, no one pushed him to be better. Same this year. Plus, w/ a poor OL, he needs to stay healthy. That’s tough to do these days.

My Stepson is Chalmette’s QB1. Kid has never played a down at QB and last year he was a starter on the O line. Needless to say he has a lot of learning to do.

I thought #8 played well. Wish he would have got more snaps in the second but I can understand coach wanting to get more kids in there.
