How did building the programs at abbeville and Kaplan work out? Look at them now. Davidson and shows .... Great examples of building a program. Why build a program and scoot?

I love Acadiana and I graduated from there but let's face the facts.

1- Ted is an amazing coach.
2- Acadiana is what it has been recently because the defenses have improved significantly since I was there. Offense was always good but I remember my junior year losing to new Iberia 61-60 and wondering how we lost that game.
3- Acadiana's OLine has a long way to go. Hopefully getting the big left guard back will help. Against Sam Houston if u take away those 5 long runs they have 1 play over 9 yards and a little over 100 yds.
4: the defense is legit. Like really legit. Holding breaux bridge to 7 points in the jamboree, St Pauls to one touchdown, and pretty much shutting down Sam Houston, new Iberia, and northside. Once the offense starts clicking it will be hard to beat them.

And just because I don't have rainbows flowing out my arse and thinking Acadiana will win it every year does not make me less of a fan. I know my sh*t and I think that while Acadiana can make noise this year, they have a little ways to go before the playoffs. Barbe and carencro games will go a long way on telling me what they are made of.

Interview after to take his dad's spot at Catholic

In all seriousness, if he only wins one or two game this year, he's fricked. Obviously CHS won't fire him, but the grumblings are only getting larger from boosters and alumni, and the money may start drying up, forcing CHS to "relocate" him within the school.

Hard to imagine Weiner's son would leave a high paying job at Zachary to coach Catholic.

Higgins run defense was stifling. Their defense is big and fast. Their D-line got tremendous push allowing blitzers to get to Alex Migliore 5 times. When he had time, Migliore was fairly successful, but did throw 2 picks. He's still throwing a bit high, but throws a nice ball, he'll settle, only a sophomore.

RB John West got hurt, and Jabbar Singleton was moved to RB for the rest of the night, instead of shuttling in as QB in the two QB offense.

Our defense kept Higgins under 100 yards passing, although it looks like something they want to do. Our secondary played nickel, it appeared, because the area under the secondary was wide open to both the screen or the run all night long.

They (Higgins) have a great running back, #2, who is BIG and gets to the edge with lightning quickness. If he got the corner, with the defense we played, he was able to rip off big runs. He'll be a D-I RB somewhere.

Or maybe he jumps ships because there is more talent and once that talent is gone he jumps another ship. Just a. Theory.

Please explain how being at a program for a short period of time is building a program? Especially since the other schools he was at are struggling now and not competitive in there class at all.

Has anyone seen Belle Chase play? They have been beating down mediocre competition. Just wondering if they have a team that can compare with the state championship team of a few year ago.

now that was a surprise to me when they did that... gives hope to the next tier of teams that are good enough but still have to get hot at the right time

No, Curtis and Winnfield are both still #1 and #2 respectively. U-High is ranked #3 in the Sportswriters polls.
