Why do you say that?
MJ is a 1 on 1 scorer who needs the ball for the majority of the possessions a PG would be useless
quote:That makes sense I just didn't think you were talking about the 35 old version of Jason Kidd and not prime Jason Kidd
And I picked Kidd due to his defense and 3 point shooting.

You could argue his first season in Houston was at the end of his prime.
Oh, and he was the second best player on a championship team.

A PG wouldn't be useless... that's just silly. MJ isn't going to be scoring 1 on 1 for every possession of the game.
And I'm still talking about prime Kidd...

The offense would have to be built around MJs 1 on 1 scoring. He's not going to stand on the wing waiting for open shots and cutting like he's Michael Cooper
Also prime Kidd was not a good three point shooter

Starting - Nash, Jordan, Durant, Hakeem, Bill Russell
Bench - Stockton, Reggie, Lebron, Bird, Dirk, Rodman, Mutombo
--
I probably look at this a bit differently than most. I've left off some better all around players for some guys that I think would be good based on the talent around them. I tried to build around defense with plenty of three point shooters to spread the court. Focal point of unit one is MJ and unit 2 is Lebron.
I put in some guys that don't need the ball to have an impact based on defense and rebounding. Rodman isn't as good as Malone but he'd have no problem with not getting touches with 4 offensive guys on the court. You've got a lot of guys that you can run the offense through and a lot of guys that can just sit back and pop threes.
Starting line up has MJ, 2 great 3 point shooters, and 2 of the best shot blockers of all time.
--
Starters:
PG - Nash
Went with him over some better all around players to spread the floor a bit more as he is a great 3 point shooter (43% career). Not a good defender, however he doesn't need to be with the other guys on the court.
SG - Jordan
Only flaw is his three point shooting isn't great. Surround him with shooters and it'll rain threes as he draws double teams.
SF - Durant
He isn't in the same level of greatness yet as some of the guys but playing next to Jordan he'd shoot 50% from 3 (He's 43% for this year). Plus his length and athleticism are crazy.
PF - Hakeem
Great offensive player but a terror on defense. He doesn't need to play right under the basket to score. Can play Center or PF.
C - Bill Russell
I honestly don't think other teams would be able to score with him and Hakeem on the court at the same time. They probably wouldn't get a rebound either.
--
Bench -
Stockton - Good 3 point shooter on top of everything else.
Reggie Miller - SG with a killer 3 point shot
Lebron - Bringing him off the bench because I want to surround him and Jordan with 3 point shooters.
Bird - 3 point shooting.
Dirk - Wanted a PF with great 3 point shot.
Rodman - Have plenty of scoring. Defense, hustle, and rebounding.
Dikembe Mutombo - Shot blocking.
--
Guys I left off -
Kobe, Oscar Robertson, Reggie Miller, Magic, Karl Malone, Kareem... All should be on there but I wanted to load up on three point shooters to play around Jordan and
Lebron.
Tim Duncan - Can play Center or PF but needed a SG more.
Kobe - Already have Jordan as my head dog
Oscar and Magic - Similar do it all guys to Lebron but he's more athletic
Ray Allen - He'd knock down threes all day as well
Malone - Took Dirk instead for the 3 pointers. Took Duncan over him as an inside guy.
Kareem - Tough to leave him off but I wanted guys like Mutombo to block shots and not need the ball
Shaq - Don't like his defense as much as some other guys and FTs are awful
Wilt - Terrible FT shooter but an amazing player.
Glen Rice, Mitch Richmond, Dale Ellis - Not the same level of legend but they could pop 3's all day on a team like this
Bench - Stockton, Reggie, Lebron, Bird, Dirk, Rodman, Mutombo
