The Lakers are imploding with their post-game comments.

I think they realize this might be the end.

Just about all of the pieces they have added are pretty tough guys. They actually play defense now.

Signing Chandler was a gamble but his injuries healed up pretty well.

They signed him after they signed Haywood to an $11 mil. contract. That's a damn expensive backup but when he plays hard like he did tonight who cares.

Marion is old but he's always been a really good defender who has really long arms.

Stevenson isn't as crazy as Barkley makes him out to be but he is tougher than nails.

J.J. might be the toughest 5'9" dude currently in the league.

Cory Brewer is another really long guy that plays good D too.

Then you've got Dirk, who is the nicest assassin you'll ever meet.

Terry who can be streaky for the first three quarters but is usually a dependable scorer in the fourth.

Peja isn't what he used to be with the SacKings but teams have to respect his jumper.

JKidd is an old man out there but he has some great instincts, can shoot the open three and has always played good defense against other big guards.

Caron Butler is a tough, half crazy guy who would be starting making a big contribution on both ends if he wasn't injured.

Then there's the other injured starter Roddy Beaubois who makes J.J. look slow.

They traded for his expiring. They got lucky he all the sudden healed up after being a non factor for two seasons.

They are paying the guy the minimum and all the sudden he is healthy. I don't think anyone doubted a healthy Peja could contribute, but was it worth $15 million? frick no. They get the Benfit of having a great long shooter for the minimum.

Great for the Mavs striking gold, but as a Hornets fan it pisses me off these players are all the sudden productive after taking $20-30 million from the Hornets as unproductive/injured players.

They are also more productive because the Mavs have more talent as a whole than the Hornets had when they were there.

We will see. I think Miami can get one of them and the Celts win the other by double digits.

Mavs offense was a thing of beauty last night...ball movement from side to side, everyone was just in synch with each other. Lakers have played the pick-n-roll like dog shite.

Why they don't go to Bynum every time down in the post is beyond me.
