Didn't read this thread, didn't read the link either.....
With that being said, there were probably 100+ young black teenagers murdered in Miami alone last year. Why are the Miami Heat worried about a kid who was killed in Orlando? Why not honor all the kids murdered right down the road from where they play, live, work, eat, etc?

How many kids did you honor for being murdered? That goes for me as well, I certainly haven't honored no one that was murdered this year LOL.
Therefore, I don't think it's my place to decide who they should be paying tribute too. They're doing a good thing, that's enough for me.

I guess the Heat should hire somebody to scour newspapers in Florida for every time an African American teenager is murdered. And if they are going to honor one, they're going to have to honor all of them.

I've honored a couple, but they were my friends or people I grew up with. I didn't take a photo to honor them, and I didn't do it for publicity either (certainly not insinuating that's what Lebron and the Heat were doing....I'd never say that
)

Why does it have to be a Black teenager?
P.S. what's an "African American"? Serious question....I've never heard anyone say that before.

I'm the last person to usually bring up race, but let's be honest, if you know anything about Sanford, this probably wouldn't be happening if it was a white kid.

And I'm not trying to start an argument over this with anyone (that's what the OT is for). I think this is a messed up situation and I hope justice is served....I hope the truth comes out and the right thing is done. But this is definitely getting ridiculous, and I hate what this story is turning into. I also hate how the state of Florida is only in the news for bad things.....we only get bad publicity out of all the positive that comes out of this state.

its a shitty fricking situation but this type of thing occurs every single day. its not special and its gotten way way way too much attention.
lebron puts his hood up when its clutch time.

But let's be honest here, if George was Black, or if Martin was white....this story wouldn't receive 2% the publicity it has....and the Miami Heat wouldn't be posing for a photo-op.

Can we get a neighborhood watch board?

exactly the heat wouldn't be taking photos and obama wouldn't be saying his fake kid would be like someone that he has no clue about.
