Who's the more underrated player? Adolis Garcia, or Steven Kwan?

How good of an analyst will he be?

Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez have been reunited.
Fox Sports announced Sunday during its Super Bowl pregame show that Jeter will be part of the network's studio coverage for the coming season.
Rodriguez hugged Jeter as he came on stage and presented him with a Fox Sports baseball jersey. Jeter, who was elected to baseball's Hall of Fame in 2020, also joins fellow Hall of Famer David Ortiz and host Kevin Burkhardt as part of the studio team.

Garcia strikes out too damn much, but he might go 30/30 with the new rules, and he's an average fielder. Kwan strikes out almost never but not a lot of power and above average in the field. Kwan is an old school leadoff hitter, but he got plenty of love last season from the media, so I think Garcia is slightly more underrated.

I don’t know how he will be as an analyst, but it will be hilarious watching Ortiz and him gang up on A-rod

So who on set is he replacing? Is Thomas not working for FOX anymore?

I see the MLB published rules dictating when position players can pitch, which unsurprisingly pretty closely aligns with situations when position players do pitch.
What instigated making this into a rule?

I saw a stat this morning that in 2017 there were 32 instances of position players pitching. Last year there were 132 instances. They probably want to curb that.

The two-way player rules were in place last year, so mission failed.
I find position guys getting on the mound in a blowout to be entertaining.

I think they’re just going to add a chair. I like Thomas so I hope that’s the case.

Dodgers Sign Alex Reyes to a 1 Year 1.1 $6.5M Deal
Not a lot for Dodgers, and he's a guy who has high ceiling, but is injured all the time.
very good risk/reward type signing.

I agree. Especially when you get guys like Rizzo striking out Freeman.

I hope FOX doesn't start using too many analysts like they do for the NFL coverage.

All the shitty analytics have taken over the game. Before pitch counts and pitching change after pitching change were so emphasized, position players having to pitch rarely happened.

I know you aren't going to like this.

Yeah, I caught that in the 5 minutes I was able to catch this morning
It was also mentioned that they have lost 9 out of their last 10 playoff games
Ouch

I do not know if it has been posted, but Wacha signed with the Padres today. He would become their #4 with Nick Martinez, Seth Lugo, and Ryan Weathers competing for their #5 spot.
