It was probably opening weekend. There were 3 violations called in the Ark-Texas game.

Rule 5 pick Noah Song has been discharged from the Navy. He will be in camp tomorrow.

He last pitched in 2019 for 17 innings in A ball. Unless Philly is going to carry him on their 26 man all year, he will revert back to Boston and won't have to be kept on the 40 man.

Has to clear waivers first... some cellar dweller might put a claim in?

ETA: If he even looks serviceable. If he's getting rocked it's back to Boston.

I will probably happen anyway, but I really hope all the TV networks don't show some timer for every pitch during the broadcast. It isn't something I want to see. Are the clocks in the stadium positioned just like they are in the minors off to the side near the dugout?

At Hammons Field, there is another clock behind of OF wall. I think there are just 3 clocks.

The RSN situation continues to disintegrate. Warner Bros Discovery is dumping their RSNs

quote:

Warner Bros. Discovery has told teams that it plans to exit the regional sports network business entirely within the next several weeks. The company has told teams that they have until March 31 to reach an agreement to take their rights back. If the RSNs can’t reach deals with the teams, the channels eventually plan to move forward with a Chapter 7 liquidation filing.

This is 4 teams (Rockies, Astros, Pirates and Mariners) although Mariners own 60% of their network already. With the Bally Networks, it puts MLB up to 18 teams in RSN limbo.

I hope that whatever comes next isn't a bigger shitshow than what we're dealing with now. The devil you know and all.

I knew the TV networks/MLB weren't going to listen. I will definitely be watching fewer games if the clock is right behind home plate like this.

I don’t know where else they could put it.

Manfred did say that if Bally completely goes under, that MLB will completely lift their local market blackout rules.

Off to the side closer to the dugouts. Just like in the minors.
