A three-batter minimum for pitchers-DUMB
A universal designated hitter -NO
A single trade deadline before the All-Star break-Way too Early
A 20-second pitch clock-Wont make any difference
The expansion of rosters to 26 men, with a 12-pitcher maximum-Yes, then no
Draft advantages for winning teams and penalties for losing teams-Might be the stupidest of all
A study to lower the mound-DUMB
A rule that would allow two-sport amateurs to sign major league contracts-Who decides who is a two sport amateur?

Rob Manfried is the worst commissioner in all of sports and maybe of all time. This list is pitiful.

It's 100% going to happen eventually. Sooner rather than later at this point.

Can't say I'm a fan, but it won't ruin baseball for me.

The only way I'd be okay with a pitcher maximum is if the rosters were increased to like 27 with a couple of inactive spots.

It's time for the DH in the National League.

Here I thought manfreds idea of starting a runner on 2nd on extra innings was the dumbest thing that could be conceived but they insist on proving me wrong

A three-batter minimum for pitchers - EXCELLENT IDEA!

A universal designated hitter - It is time.

A single trade deadline before the All-Star break - No

A 20-second pitch clock - No, this isn't basketball.

The expansion of rosters to 26 men, with a 12-pitcher maximum - I have no opinion on this

Draft advantages for winning teams and penalties for losing teams - dumb proposal.

A study to lower the mound - No

A rule that would allow two-sport amateurs to sign major league contracts- No

if your trying to speed games up, this does the opposite.

AL games are 4-5 hour snooze fests. Even East Coast fans are tired of going to games and getting home at midnight.

I like roster expansion and lowering the mound. I think they should allow kids who've spent service time of at least a month count as one full year of eligibility towards FA. Start seeing more 26-28 year old FA's instead of 31-33

This would be amazing. There is nothing worse than 3 pitching changes in a half inning to get 3 outs. I am 1000% for this.

That gif truly made me laugh

I've actually been resistant to the DH for years.
However, I just think it's time to finally accept it, for the sake of creating higher scoring games and increasing fan interest.

That's been the thing with most of the rules changes made in the past couple of years though. They're trying to reduce game times while increase runs scored. More runs means longer games.

They've already countered the pitch clock rule proposal with turning it off when runners are on base. When are pitchers more likely to take longer? When runners are on base.

The time saving rules changes have resulted in very little time saved. Like the no-pitch IBB. And there were so many exceptions to the "batter must stay in the box" rule that it was hardly a rule.

The game has been around for 150 years but now theres a generation that has the attention span of a gnat so everything must change.

I'm warning yall, theres precedent for this stuff. NASCAR was doing just fine until Brian France came over and tried to make it appealing to people who will never watch regardless of what new shite they came up with. They've lost 60% of their audience in the last 17 years, salaries for the drivers and crew are plummeting, teams are folding, and stadiums are removing seats to reduce capacity. This years Daytona 500 is likely to be the first one to not sell out.

Proceed with caution when these rule changes come up to appeal to the younger generation or fans of other sports. Theyll alienate their core fanbase and the people who they're trying to get to watch wont bother.

increasing fan interest.

St.Louis will have 3.3 to 3.5 million fans walk thru those turnstiles, and tv ratings locally will continue to be some of highest in MLB, so about that fan interest, it's already there, and they don't want the DH.

I believe MLB saw a decline in attendance this past year. Although it doesn't help you have teams like the Marlins obviously tanking and good teams like Cleveland selling off....

A lot of teams feel if you not Boston, Houston, Yankees, Dodgers, Nationals you have no shot

“Attendance this year dipped by about 4% – a decrease we believe is primarily connected to the historically bad weather we faced back in the spring,” the league said in a statement it sent to me. The league added that April’s schedule included a record 28 postponements and 102 games played in temperatures under 50 degrees.

The season ended with 54 postponements – the most since 1989 – with 26 on weekends, when teams typically draw their highest numbers.

At one point in April, overall attendance was down more than 10% compared with 2017, meaning there was a considerable amount of clawing back. The league benefited from the two tiebreaker games played on Monday at Wrigley Field and Dodgers Stadium that saw an additional 86,266 in attendance between them.

But there were other reasons for the downturn.

The two largest drops in attendance came by way of the Miami Marlins and the Toronto Blue Jays. In both instances, the clubs had adjusted how they would approach paid attendance.

The Marlins used a different reporting procedure this year around ticket sales; they said as much at the beginning of the season and let Commissioner Manfred and the league know about their plans. The league believes it was the right thing to do.

About a quarter of the league's 4% decline stems from the Marlins’ change alone.

For the Blue Jays, the drop was due to how they released tickets to resellers.

“As we progressed in our business model, we didn’t think it was advantageous to have 50% of our tickets controlled by the secondary market,” Blue Jays president and CEO Mark Shapiro said as the season was getting underway.
