Also some smoke about the Dodgers being really involved win the realmuto sweepstakes. Which would not suck

I was just thinking the other day how rare it is when MLB dips into the college ranks for a coach. I can't remember the last coach to go from college to MLB before this.

If you are a fan of Fox Sports, you will like seeing this.

Major League Baseball announced today that it has reached a new seven-year, multiplatform agreement with FOX Sports spanning the 2022-28 seasons. Eric Fisher of Sports Business Journal reports (via Twitter) that the contract’s rough value is a staggering $5.1 billion — a near-50 percent increase over the total value of the existing agreement between MLB and FOX. Bloomberg’s Scott Soshnick tweets a similar total figure and notes that on an annual basis, the agreement represents a 36 percent increase over the prior contract.

Hopefully they stop putting playoff games on FS1

I agree with the first response.

Unfortunately, you need a lot more than Mathis.

Nightengale says Diamondbacks trying to deal Grienke. I wonder what it would take to get him and Goldschmidt in a package deal?
Posted on 11/15/18 at 9:29 pm to CRDNLSCHMCPSN11
they will eat a lot of salary or get nothing in return.

His contract seems crazy. Maybe just me
Posted on 11/15/18 at 9:43 pm to Mr. Elvert
Isn't he owed like 70 million left over next 3 years and is 35
Posted on 11/15/18 at 9:45 pm to tduecen
Worse... $35m/yr for next 3 years
Posted on 11/16/18 at 12:29 am to tduecen
I’d still listen if it meant getting Goldschmidt.

So 1 season of Goldy is worth 3 years and 135 million?
I mean I guess between the two if you win the series it is a great deal, if not we'll sucks for the team.

Jon Morosi @jonmorosi · #Astros remain a viable destination for Realmuto despite the high price tag, in part because #Marlins prefer not to trade him within the division to the #Braves, who are actively looking for a catcher.

After the terrible trades with Yelich and Ozuna I wouldn’t be surprised if they wait a little bit on moving Realmuto. I don’t understand why the Marlins won’t trade within the division. It’s not like they will be competing in the division the next two years.
