Ken Rosenthal Verified account @Ken_Rosenthal

Source confirms: #DBacks close to signing free-agent outfielder Adam Jones. Deal is in place, pending physical, per my man @DTrainMLB. Marte likely would assume more of a super-utility role with Jones on club, playing infield, playing all over.

Love that signing for the Yanks but think they should’ve just went for Keuchel for a 1-2 year $10 mill a year

Not stats wise but just Dallas is younger and has pitched on a World Series winning team recently. Just think he would be a better fit with CC leaving after this year and could fill that void longer than Gio.

They obviously dont want anyone for more than one year, and its probably a little concerning that Keuchel's GB% bottomed out to a 53.7% in 2018. Is that a one year blip, or is it a cause for concern, especially with a guy that doesnt strike out anyone.

MLB sources: The #Astros have reached an agreement on a six-year/$100 million contract with All-Star third baseman Alex Bregman that includes this season. Deal covers this year & the 3 years he'd be eligible for arbitration plus the first two years Alex can become a free agent.

Reliever Ryan Pressly is in agreement with the Houston Astros on a two-year, $17.5M contract extension, a source familiar with the deal tells ESPN. The deal will buy out two years of free agency for Pressly, who the Astros acquired last July.
