Cards got a break there.

The angles are not decisive, I think Harper was safe, with the positioning though it’s hard to tell, as well as the umpire was in perfect position which is why I think they went with his initial call

Harper was clearly safe

He wasn’t.

Also, A-rod and Michael Kay are fricking awful. Rodriguez might be worse than that softball player espn trots out on sundays.

ETA: you could see the glove hit his inner arm before any part of him touched the bag.

And A rod still suck donkey dick

the tag was to the chest when the hand was on the bag. clear as day.

put another way. the tag wasn't made on the hand or arm.

The Cards are just slightly better than mediocre.

since sept 1 they are 17-15

That's the definition of mediocre right there.

He did appear to be safe. But it was an unnecessary risk. And they just gave away another out on the bases.

Friend, he was around the arm with the glove prior to the chest. Did he touch I don’t know and neither do you as the angles didn’t show it. If he did or didn’t though the umpire had the perfect view for it.

Also, regardless it clearly wasn’t as obvious as you make it sound as he’s out

You can keep saying that, but I’m going to believe what I saw and not your interpretation

pujols chase was the story, cards have been scuffling since going 22-7 in august

weirdly all the talk about the mets collapse and the braves breaking them and all that the mets were 18-13 and the braves were 21-10 since sept 1

braves were just all around better, and they showed it when it counted

Weirdly? The New York centric baseball media crafting the narrative around what the Mets did instead of acknowledging literally anything else is weird to you?

Yeah as much shite as we give the Mets on here they really didn't "Mets" it up and choke(except for the final series at Truist), the Braves just outplayed them and caught them.
