You just know so little about the NBA and sports in general, it's not worth my time.

can you be specific? He carried your team throughout the playoffs.

Are you a Laker fan or just a Kobe fan? Serious question.

The whole previous generation big men bs current generation big men debate is impossible.

Shaq with sheer power and skill, Hakeem with juke, Kareem with skill and a great shot...just hard to say that Wilt's dominating career was a fluke of lack of big men talent.

I bet Cleveland fans are extra mad tonight - Lebron's effort tonight compared to his effort against Boston in Game 5 last year is well...I don't have to say it.

I just don't want to discount the early years of the NBA because things have evovled so much.

No doubt. The fact that guys like Wilt and Russell have survived the times in terms of this debate shows how great they were back then. So far superior to their peers it was a joke.

FWIW I still voted for LeBron for the MVP even though the East lost. Doing something only MJ has done before is pretty impressive.

It wasn't the competition, but more the rules and how different the game was. Watch Wilt and Russell guard each other. They would let each other catch 3 or 4 feet from the goal, put their hands straight up without trying to force the other out of the lane, and then contest whatever shot was attempted.

Wilt's best move was catch, turn, and finger roll it into the goal.

ETA: and I'm not calling Wilt's career a fluke.

???

Kobe average 32/6/4 against the Jazz
34/8/7 against the Suns

Yes Pau carried the team

Kobe/Lebron threads have to be the worst on this site. It brings out the absolute dumbest/ignorant comments possible.

True, but that's how the game was played they never had to alter their game to adjust. Either side can be argued it's a good debate. I have no horse in the race.
