Why are we watering down the US with two teams & concentrating THE ENTIRE WORLD into one team?? Wouldn't the opposite make more sense?

My guess is there are at least twice as many US players as from other countries. If only 1 US team then good players get left out or would have no chance to play if making it one bigger rostered team.
