Would you rather have Kawhi for 3 more years at max contract or PG13?
Kawhi if healthy and thats not debatable

I don't think its terrible move but should have dumped Kawhi's arse IMO
Maybe but I assume that was part of the thinking for signing the 3yrs

ESPN Sources: Free agent C Isaiah Hartenstein has agreed on a three-year, $87 million deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Hartenstein leave the Knicks for the top West seed eager to add his size, skill and physicality.

The Thunder finished with the No.1 seed in the toughest division in the toughest conference and added two top-four defensive EPM players neither of whom are offensive liabilities and both of whom address significant needs for the roster in a week.

For a guy who has started 60 games in his careers and has averaged 18 mpg.
This is why the NBA is a house of cards.

one of the cap sites shows their 24-25 salaries are $325,257,921 for EIGHT PLAYERS and a projected cap space of negative 184,669,921 how can this be?
NBA teams are only hard capped in certain scenarios. There are provisions that let you sign your own players above the cap and escalating penalties for being in higher cap aprons

Who said he starts? And if you seen the team he fits their needs like a glove.
They also front loaded the contract so year 3 is very small and will allow resignings of core players.

Whats amazing is Presti did all this work (trading for Caruso and draft night picks) and still kept all his picks!

Isaiah Hartenstein is everything you need in a big man...
True 7-footer. Elite rim protection metrics. Excellent rebounder—particularly on the O-glass. Smooth playmaking hub. Brick wall screens. SOFT floater touch. He does it all and it translates to winning impact.

Why did they spend so much money on end of the roster guys like Joe and Wiggins?
Posted on 7/1/24 at 1:22 pm to TheWalrus
They actually contributed meaningful minutes in the playoffs when Giddey was unplayable.
It was a huge priority signing them. Joe was great from 3. Both are more than formidable defenders

He was good in the role, but almost all of those starts were this season and solely because the Knicks lost their starter to injury for over 50 games.
Seems like an overpay given his limited success in one system, but in theory he fits what the thunder need well.

Solid pickup for Dallas. He just needs to be their flamethrower every now and then
Posted on 7/1/24 at 1:38 pm to DownSouthCrawfish
Can’t see Klay giving much to a playoff team at this point in his career at age 35 this season with the injury history and now being a defensive liability.

Lebron and Bronny aren't gonna like this Klay news interrupting their super team
