Maybe one of the worst players in the league to have around a young team. Undermines the coach. Plays hard only when he wants to. If you are signing him to be your starter you're gonna b in a world of hurt.

What is wrong with the Knicks
In the last 24 hours I've read Toronto gm top target and they are confident they can get him to they won't even interview him and isiah Thomas isn't a candidate and now is

Lost every bit of respect remaining for him after the shite he pulled with Dallas.
He wouldn't go to New Orleans. First wrong thing he does would result in Boogie breaking him

Ainge is doing fine. Bumper crops coming in for the next few years and may tease heyward into joining the band.
Two out of next three years they have a shot at a great player via draft.

Maybe the only one thinking this, but I think he headed to Miami. The way the team is built it's very similar to Utah. Defense oriented team, efficient offense, plus now you got that no State Tax factor

Gotta disagree with this. Indiana cannot go into Training Camp with George on the roster

Zach Lowe

Start here: Dismiss the possibility of Boston signing Hayward, acquiring George, and then somehow signing George to an extension -- regardless of how they order the moves. They just can't open the room to do both without trading Al Horford.
Despite reports to the contrary, Boston has not included any of the following in its offers to the Pacers, per league sources: Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, the 2018 Nets pick, and the Lakers-Kings pick Boston snared from Philly in the Markelle Fultz blockbuster.
My best guess on Boston's standing George offer: Jae Crowder, Smart and Indiana's choice of protected first-round picks Boston owns from the Clippers and Grizzlies. That doesn't meet Indiana's goal of nabbing a top-10 pick or an equivalent talent. The Celtics will be reluctant to bid any higher given the risk of George bolting to the Lakers in a year.

But the Lakers still want to know the best offer the Pacers receive. According to league sources, if the Pacers get an acceptable offer from another team, the Lakers will at least be prepared to make a counteroffer and not take the chance that George lands elsewhere, which could lead to him avoiding the Lakers altogether.
quote:
Of course, an even bigger fear among those that are pursuing George is that the Lakers remain on the sideline and make no attempt to match any deal for George. It is odd to consider — especially after the four-year wave of high-profile players who turned down Lakers' overtures — that the Lakers are not aggressively pursuing a trade for a star player who wants to be in LA. For some, it’s even suspicious.
“That’s what has to worry you most,” one general manager said. “If LA is not getting involved at all, then you have to ask why. Why wouldn’t they make an offer? They did at the draft, so what changed? That is when you worry that maybe all this talk is a smokescreen and Paul George has not really changed his mind about LA.”

Actually Indiana, you are on the clock
Something is better than nothing

Good point, structured similarly only Miami's better at nearly everything. I would take Gobert over Whiteside. Other than that they're Utah 2.0.

OK, what can we offer them if Magic isn't putting Ingram in the discussions?

Uh no. They played in Sacramento. Pretty sure they are chummy.

NOLA needs shooters. Don't see Rondo as a good fit for them.

Yes and no...
A player they intend to keep and/or a pick at the end lottery level or higher is something.
Late firsts and large *long term, not expiring* contracts are worse than letting him walk because it kills the cap room to sign replacements.
There is bottoming out and there is eating $50m in long term contracts to do so.

I can see chasing Porter.
KCP though? Why? His stats are nothing special and he's a dumbass off the court.

They really can't offer anything else besides Nance or Zubac. The Lakers can't trade the 2019 first rounder because they currently do not have a 2018 first rounder.
Posted on 6/30/17 at 10:04 am to David Ricky
They can trade their 2019 if they buy anyone's 2018 first, even a shitty likely late 1st from someone like Golden State or Cleveland.
